We were a little burnt out for our first show back after Maryland Deathfest, but not as much as in previous years (our metalfesting gets increasingly leisurely the older we get). This week's show featured the usual mix of new metal releases, some old favourites, plus a preview of bands playing live in southern Ontario in the near future – including a taste of the line-up for this year's Wacken Metal Battle Canada finals. We cover a wide range of metal on Kill Eat Exploit the Weak, but this week seemed particularly diverse, including some neo-folk and neo-classical friends of metal for simulated meat* as well as some heavy electronica/industrial. And the usual metal subgenres, of course. We ended of with some local metal, a track from Hamilton's Profaner.
