This from CBC: turning lakes into toxic mine dumps - with official approval. (but not with mine)

CKMS is restructuring and rebranding: it's great that they're trying to keep things going with Sound FM, but is this an indication that edgy, alternative community radio is headed for extinction?

If a chimp kisses or hugs you, s/he probably just wants to help...

I also have a raccoon story - about a couple of loud little critters and the lengths the larger raccoon went to in order to rescue the smaller one from a precarious perch - but perhaps I'll save the details for another day. [I now think one of the critters I heard fighting in the tree next door was a raccoon]
