June 4
We were a little burnt out for our first show back after Maryland Deathfest, but not as much as in previous years (our metalfesting gets increasingly leisurely the older we get). This week's show featured the usual mix of new metal releases, some old favourites, plus a preview of bands playing live in southern Ontario in the near future – including a taste of the line-up for this year's Wacken Metal Battle Canada finals. (spoiler alert: MUTANK won)

I ended up having to leave Adam on his own for this one. Not like he needs me to make excellent musical choices, local and otherwise. Plus when we're not chattering back and forth we can usually squeeze in a couple of extra songs.

We cover a wide range of metal on Kill Eat Exploit the Weak, but this week seemed particularly diverse, including some neo-folk and neo-classical friends of metal for simulated meat* as well as some heavy electronica/industrial. And the usual metal subgenres, of course. We ended of with some local metal, a track from Hamilton's Profaner.
